Server Pagination

Client slicing and server mode, with server mode shown through TanStack Query and SWR.

useDataGridPagination has two modes. Client mode slices a dataset you already hold in memory. Server mode only does the page math. You own page, pageSize, total, and fetching the page yourself. The same server mode pairs with any fetch layer: the three pages below.

Client mode

Slicing the full dataset in the browser — no round trip.

TanStack Query

The page is the query key. Edits write through, then invalidate.

SWR

The page is the cache key. A scoped revalidate covers edits.

SWR

Lazy ranges through SWR's preload. One fetch per range key, shared with any useSWR consumer.
